Since we have a few folks returning, wanted to get a plotting thread going. Here we can discuss any ideas related to world building, characters, factions, potential story lines, etc.

I think filling others in on the world more will help get them into the flow of things as well, that is if they want to join, and I need to talk to you about some of this new stuff as well when we run into each other next, mostly about opening up important story element for new blood, again if they want to join our reality here.
I was thinking of a few areas we need more characters, specifically in the watchers and the Thanes of Phyrexia. Also I believe I can make several new positions in Legacy and other areas of the story should they need be provided.
As for some lore I can hand out right now I'll start with some basics and maybe talk a little plot stuff, detail some of the surrounding for the newcomers
First off we have the basics of the 9 worlds
Phyrexia, the dark machine world ruled by, you guessed it, the Phyrexians, semi-organic constructions by creation of an unknown source, they are vastly more advanced than other constructs and almost species wide they excel at dark works, even manipulating magic along with their technology, They are so elegant in design they go far beyond the expected, more than machine, the sages say they are supernatural in origin, no being of flesh and blood could make something so.. transcendental.
Nya'lotha, the plane of abberant things, the darkest creatures dare not dream of it. The stronghold of the Yath'Shar, those who hear their whispers are with them forever, even the fabled Xel'Naga that set foot on Nya'lotha were never seen again. Their whispers can be heard on other planes, through the void and the eternal cosmos, their prophets say that all happenings of the great mystery are their doing, to bring about their fate, and those who know enough about them, as far as the most holy of being, would not deny it.
Aaru, the world of conflict, caught in the mess of a wheel rolling across the intersection of fate, known also as the cursed world. It's current state is brewing into a new war, Allera daughter of storms has been given complete authority over the Eastern Kingdoms, by far the largest landmass on Aaru, long ago they seperated themselves from the western continents that were being watched over by the celestial pantheon, they fought a bloody war nearly 10,000 years ago, until finally breaking off completely and the two sides of the world had never little to with each other after that.
I'll continue writing some short descriptions for these worlds in the next few days, now I'm gonna move onto some faction and character stuff, more direct related story ideas going on in our frame work. Obviously certain character groupings are tied to faction storylines, namely the Ordo Imperium under Shokande Mont'ka, known as the first Yautja and god of Order. They are bitter rivals of the Hive Dominion, ruled by supreme Goddess of Chaos Chaotena Prime, whom is thought to be perhaps the most powerful being on Aaru.
Even within the factions there are character divides and also cross faction character groups, most notably of these is (The) Legacy, a grouping of beings picked by the Viashino (Dragonkin) Joaul, also known (The) Heart of Legacy, a being whom has lived for thousands of years. in the past Joaul served the almighty Genesis, Shaper and God of Life, creator of Lebselvith (protector of the wheel), before betraying Genesis, stealing the Legacy artifact and escaping to Aaru where he began his quest to fulfill the destiny of the Legacy, find it's members and defeat Genesis. The Legcay is a collections of sentient artifacts that bond to users, mingling their power with that of the host and becoming one, their power is so fathomless that even Joaul, the most knowledgeable of their workings struggles to grasp the depth of what they are.
One of our distinct character groups includes Hargarth Deathskull and his pupils, certain notable individuals Harg took under his wing, either by recognition of their potential or for favors to others and possibly further causes, The sisters Tamura and Zaravanna Zelektra, as well as the fourth born son of Shokande Mont'ka and Harg's own son Jorin.
I'll hit more on some of these a bit later.
Another important group is the Watchers, in the ancient ages of the wheel beings of power were selected and took up mantles of keeping core things of the wheel, all important machinations out of unruly hands, to safeguard the wheel and look out for the best of it's interests. For a time they were highly regarded and treasured until changes in the atmosphere of the wheel, wars, great looses, terrors and apocalypses washed them, piece by piece, away into history until their order became all but forgotten. Some of the Watchers still keep to the job, others have betrayed their oaths and used their position to shape the future in selfish or volatile ways, the Okahe Chondrakha is perhaps the most famous of these fallen Watchers, he was once a Dragoon and champion of Aaru, now he is an abomination of dark power, one of the most dangerous beings in the wheel.
One of if not the most important group of oddballs in the entire wheel is known as the Lost Children, beings of infinite eons whom were made by Primordial gods before the shaping of the planes. they were made to be malleable to fit in with the needs of the beings who were to put them to use, at any time their memories could be manipulated, altered or have entire sections erased entirely, in some more extreme cases their forms could be completely reformatted, they are living interfaces to great monoliths of power, machinations called the Pillars of Creations, each of the Lost Children fills a specific role, some format energy, some push fate, others change evolution, their use can restructure reality. They are often unwilling or completely unbeknownst slaves in this endeavor though, unable to die, unable to deny the whims of their masters.
However, like most things in the wheel, time and conflict have had their effect, across the ages the Lost Children were just that, lost, they became a distant memory, most of them either reformatted, memory wiped or hidden so long that even those who once knew who they were are long gone now, the elemental construct Agamo of the Imperium is just such a being, a time bomb ticking in the heart of Aaru's nations, though none of his friends in the Imperium know the truth of his true nature, the potential for disaster, even he is unaware of it.
There's a virtual zoo of dragons, warlords, god kings and monsters waiting to awaken into this paradise of a fantasy setting if I can be so frank, and more to come.

Great initial summary of explaining some of the main story elements and the setting. There's definitely plenty of opportunity to jump in and help contribute, and some of these factions and groups desperately need more characters (and I think I'm about reaching max capacity).
I don't think I'll have Hurakan (Shokande's fourth son) to be mentored by Harg. Or maybe he's one of Harg's first students but ends up leaving afterwards to go on his quest to find his mother. But more on that later.
Here's a pretty crazy idea. I'm thinking we replace Mechanus with a different world concept since we just haven't had any traction, in terms of solid characters and storylines, going for it. I've been looking at some concept art but I was thinking of a world of blazing heat. It's a passionate and aggressive world, filled with raging volcanic mountain ranges and roiling seas of sulphur. This could be the original home world of the dwarves and where my character Baradin (one of the Lost Children) actually comes from. I figured Kela and Alistar could also have viable storylines here, since they're the Anvils of the Dark Legacy and Legacy respectively. A burning world like this could have the best forges in the entire Wheel and perhaps the flames of this world could be where the original Legacy pieces were created.

I do agree with not having much traction on Mechanus and there is room for inspiration there, however, I think we should take a measured approach. I believe you're onto something with your idea but I feel it threatens Kratoruk's identity and having them share too many themes in common would upset that, I think it may be better to roll parts of your idea into Kratoruk, mixing with what we have for it and building onto that world to make it feel more complete.
A new identity for Mechanus could be crafted though.

Yeah we can add the massive volcano to Kratoruk and that's where the greatest forge in the entire Wheel can be found. If we combine it with the Old God presence, Kratoruk can really turn into a rich world lorewise on the level of Aaru.
I also really liked your revamped idea for Mechanus, with the dying world and spine of the world concepts. I think that has some great potential. Though Mechanus will likely have to be renamed. I may have a few suggestions.

I can try to help with the world building etc. but first a question: as I see there is a tribute to Nightmare on here named Asuna: I'd like to know more about her. Give me some info like her species, etc. Is she an actual Oplae'Xe, and actual daughter of Nightmare's?

She is not Nightmare's daughter, she is Nightmare's niece, half-born of the divine Xeno lineage to Eris Treped, I think that falls under your classification of Oplae'Xe(?). Her other half is a primal being on her father's side, whom in large bound his existence to the Nether until he became a haunting cosmic force as much as he is a flesh and blood being, his name is Harun Malik.
Asuna being the daughter of the two of them is fully both species, but not really accepted by any of them, she was born with shockingly similar traits to Nightmare and some beings caught on to that from the beginning which caused her formative years to be tainted by distrust. She was closely watched because of this and as she grew her powers did as well, she quickly began showing signs of having reality-altering abilities, only adding to the fire of doubt about allowing her to live any sort of free life.
She was raised by Harun almost exclusively as he worked for the gods and she was merely an underling, a servant of a servant. Over time though she grew mistrusting of the gods and their emissaries because of the way they treated her and Harun, she perceived their fear and as she learned the nature of her and Harun's own abilities she began to stress upon him that they didn't have to serve the gods in the way he did and that they could be equal or superior to them, which only made things worse in the eyes of those that watched her more closely than even she was aware of.
Not wanting anything like Nightmare to happen again they were ready to stop her if it came to that. The primal beings that sculpted the realms and powers known had left behind an artifact of their reign, something referred to as The Prime Stone, Asuna believed it was all they would need to free themselves of the tyranny of the gods and make their lives whatever they wanted. However access to The Prime Stone was forbidden, not only was it guarded but it was feared for the devastation and world sundering powers it could unleash, Asuna wasn't having it though and tried to attain the artifact, which she very nearly did, but the archangels, along with Harun's help, stopped her.
Her power as a primal that showed a great affinity for the ability to control an artifact like the Prime Stone along with the lineage to Eris Treped, Chaotena and Nightmare seemed like far too much of a danger. They had already taken a risk just in letting her live in the first place and now she had begun to show a lot of similar actions and traits to the terrors of her family that the archangels deemed it too dangerous to let her remain free. Once she had been subdued Harun was quite out of the loop in the decision-making process and despite his wishes, they constructed a sub-dimensional pocket to function as a manufactured reality in which to seal her.
Those events happened around 13,000 years previous to the beginning of our story, since that time she has been isolated. Harun Malik has never forgiven himself for letting that happen to her and at some point in the story he arranges a group of individuals to help him free her, however he may get more than he bargained for, through the infinite mystery the only known contact she has had is with the Yath'Shar (Old Gods) whom have whispered into her mind for ages, that and her belief in Nightmare's destiny have been the only things that have carried her through the insanity in isolation.

Ok. I was going to say that the Old Gods whispering to her could be a form of Oplae'Xe, but that's up to you. And yeah, she's an Oplae'Xe: Eris Strepd is a Oplae'Xe Rythen of the Xeno-Demon variety.

Yeah, the true depth of everything that reached into her soul while she is locked away isn't fully known to anyone, not even her, which is being intentionally left open and a lot of hints are being thrown that she has some special connections to Nightmare or some power based on him or from him or something to that effect and her strength and belief in it when she is set free are stronger than ever before.
In fact, before she was imprisoned she was much much less aware of her mother's side of the family and everything that meant, but when she returns she has seemingly intimate knowledge and understanding of a great many things that she didn't have the slightest clue of before.

I think it'll also be worth sharing the family trees of both Chaotena and Shokande since both those families are so integral to the setting and plot of the story we're building. Also, I need to post soon speaking of which.

If advisable, I'd like to go farther into depth with Asuna and maybe RP with her. What species is Akuna's father? And her mother is Eris Strepd, or one of her relatives?

Asuna's mother is directly Eris Treped, Chaotena's sister. Asuna's father is what is known now as a primal being, whom don't all share an exact singular ancestor race, beings of any race can be primals through the descended genes passed down, when they realize their potential they can take on the primal essence that awakens and transforms their very being at the core level. I don't know if D4 has a different base race other than a human in mind for Harun Malik, but he has always been represented as a middle eastern man, a sorcerer, thousands of years old and capable of maintaining any appearance he desires, he is fully in control of his shapeshifting abilities that virtually all primals posses, Asuna is much less in control of hers as she is strongly driven by her emotions. Harun Malik much like Asuna and almost all priamls has a much larger, scarier monstrous primal form Harun's primal form was originally suppose to be like the bottom one here, however I'm not sure what D4's thoughts on it are at the moment, perhaps a bipedal version is in order, but that's up to him. Asuna's primal form is bipedal and much more Xenomorph based, huge fancy head crest, although primals are massively overbuilt, drastically heavier than any xenomorph ever, monstrous armored carapace, etc. Asuna is one of my characters but her origins go deeper than I've just mentioned, she is one of the "branches of the abomination" story that I've been working on, wherein each manifestation of the abomination is a temporal reality-altering cosmic aberration, Asuna being one of them, and all of them are tied to the central disturbance, which I could use help in making more characters for and there is certainly room for expansion upon. Other important pieces of the puzzle are the legacy artifacts, the watchers, lost children, which all could use more original characters and ideas, at the moment I'm a little spent trying to come up with new pieces for legacy artifacts, I'm sure more will come to me eventually, but if you have any ideas for characters and artifacts based around that shoot and we can figure out ways to weave them into the greater narrative and make other characters storylines become a part of their story, we also need more new and original watchers, me and D4 are struggling to make their group more dynamic.

So what kind of ideas have you had with the legacy artifacts? How many are there, and do they represent abstract powers such as Time, Space etc? What's their names? If you give me some kind of idea on what they entail, I could try to help make new ones.

Our last update to the Legacy setup was this, however we've been talking about how the roster needs significant updates but we've been working on other characters and concepts lately, don't want to pull the trigger too early on Legacy ideas because of the central focus and high value they put on characters.
We have the corresponding piece, character that holds it, then name and title of each artifact.
Dark Legacy is a little more complicated as we decided that most pieces will have two counterparts.
Legacy
Heart - Joaul - Osoarus, One in All Weapon - Moorabi - Bloodmoon, Revenge of Broken Promises Shield - Tamura Zelektra - Ultrax, The Last Guardian Armor - Riven - Zal'Tesh, Voice of Lost Worlds Hand - ? Sigil - Selene - Arizale, Vale of the Transcendent Anvil - Alistar - Vulkant, The Infinity Forge Mantle - Hurakan Mont'ka - Aza'gorod, Law of Extinction Essence - Kazyl Stormblade - Ngako Ai'a, The Eclipsed Element Oracle - Matsu Agewynn - Ethelia, Wings of the Living Tribunal Foundation - Zathan - Kul'Ashur, Reign of Dark Legends
Dark Legacy
Heart - Verity/Warik - Aeon, Eternity Asunder/Tal'eskir, Font of Broken Dreams Weapon - Shira/Raka'Jin - Atmosk, Dread of the Frozen Hells/Jin’Rohk, The Great Apocalypse Shield - Odin/? - Emul'Teraskqe, Crushing Rampart of the Void/? Staff - Krusaoc - Atun, The End of Dreams Armor - ?/Warik Hand - Shira?/? Eye - ?/? Anvil - Kela - Xultros, Singularity Forge Essence - ?/Raka'Jin Mantle - Odin/? - Ur'a'lisk, Truth of the Xel'Naga/? Oracle - Syndel - Erebos, Whispers of the Old Ones Haunt - Morgaine?

I believe it is time for us to revisit some of these concepts as well as introduce new ones. I'm ready to start rebuilding again.
