And another, neglected a few of the steps I did on the previous but it wasn't exactly called for, still turned out pretty dang good though.



Almost feel like I should have gone a little harder for the old fashion newspaper-y look, it turned out mostly the way I wanted it on the astronaut. May eventually make some subtle changes, might do some more washed out, colorized, liquified effects.

Honestly it was by total accident, I was trying to make myself a new background and clipped two big images together by mistake, I liked the way it looked and started working on it.

I came across the astronaut by coincidence from an old image I had saved, once I had that it started to set a theme, tested dozens of images and ideas after that looking for things that blended.

It came out by happenstance but I like the contrast, the idea of it going up, essentially moving from ground to mountains, to wars, to technology and eventually space, with the astronaut in the foreground for foreshadowing while being both counterintuitive to the nature of being in a nature scene while at the same time donating the idea behind space travelers founding upon an untouched paradise. And then we have the meditating man in the mountains centered to symbolize man's hoped orientation toward peace along with the rose petals falling from heaven, for both peace and tragedy, which again contrasts and emphasis the nature of the astronaut in a beautiful way. That and rose pedals are basically cheating when it comes to art lol, I've considered making them a staple of my work.

I should make a tuning pass on some of the sharpening and work on better colorization for the bottom of the top half.

Kinda wish I still had my filter for tribal stylized sharpening effects.. but I deleted it cause I originally stole it and started feeling bad lol
